Product Description

RAD D is a water-soluble, silicon-based powder water repellent agent used as a highly effective hydrophobic additive.

RAD D exhibits outstanding water-repellent properties even in small concentrations without affecting the permeability of the substrate.

RAD D contains fine mineral filler as an anti-adherent.

RAD D is a high-quality specialized product for strengthening the water-repellent properties of structural building materials such as dry plaster mixes, dry building mixtures, powder paints.

A properly prepared product has the following properties:

- low water absorption coefficient

- sharply reduced wetting with water (the formation of droplets)

- low tendency to pollution

- strength

Application

To produce dry building mixtures and powder paints, mix RAD D and other dry materials using suitable equipment.

Excellent strength and water-repellent properties are achieved at a RAD D concentration of 0.1-0.5% of the weight of the dry mixture. After adding the appropriate amount of water, the mixture must be moved with specialized equipment or manually. When mixing by hand, do not apply very great effort, and then leave the mixture for 5 minutes to fully mature and mix again.

Storage

The expiration date of each product is indicated on its label.

Storage longer than the date indicated on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer suitable. However, in this case, it is necessary to check the properties required for the intended use targets.

When the product is stored under pressure, in damaged or opened packaging, the powder tends to be caked.

Mixing RAD G with hydraulic binders, fillers and pigments increases storage stability because it prevents caking. However, mixtures of this type must be protected from moisture ingress.
