RAD 1803 Hydrophobizer for concrete products (liquid)

RAD 1803 is suitable for mineral bases. This product significantly reduces the capillary water absorption of structural materials after curing and achieving equilibrium moisture.

Properties

RAD 1803 is a liquid that is an anhydrous oligomeric siloxane of relatively low viscosity. This product, although not water-soluble, is intended for use in water-based construction materials using high shear mixers, especially for the production of cement-based fiber-reinforced products, for example fiber-cement slabs. RAD 1803 is usually added to the mixer in undiluted form, as an additive for mass hydrophobization of the material.

Application

RAD 1803 is used in a dosage of 0.1 to 0.3% by weight of the solids content, the product is added to the mixer in undiluted form. For the normal operation of the additive, thorough mixing of the cement slurry is required

Storage

The shelf life of each lot is indicated on the product label. Storage longer than the date indicated on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer suitable. However, in this case, it is necessary to check the properties required for the intended use targets.
